I know, you stocked up on dried beans for economical nutrition and the upcoming zombie-apocalypse and haven't been using them as often as you thought you would. That's okay. The beans forgive you. Beans are cool like that.
They wait patiently for you to remember to soak some overnight to make a dish, some even hang out in cans in case you forget.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.
Mitch Hedberg
Beans offer good nutrition and body to a dish, and work magically with rice, corn and other grains. And herbs love 'em. Just ask them.
So get out your Tessa Kiros books and find a recipe featuring beans! Cook it up, post it, and link to Mr. Linky (below) to show it off!
In the meantime - have you had a chance to check out all the posts from last week? We had an outstanding Attitude of Gratitude going on!
Get your bean on and link a permalink up to Mr. Linky on or by December 4th.

Well, you know I love this week's theme. I can't wait to get my bean on :)
This week will be fun. My cannellini beans soaked last night and are ready to cook into creamy bean goodness today. Bring on the beans! ;-)
Here goes...I collect seeds. Not necessarily to plant. To look at. So there's my weird thing. I love these photos. Dried beans are so pretty.
Made my dish, just have to post!
My post is up, and i loved it!
Tessa's cannellini bean puree was delicious with my sausage gravy. A perfect plate of food!
Had fun with big honkin' butter beans.
I made the simple and homey Cannellini Beans w/ Olive Oil.

I made a beautiful, beany bowl of soup. So. Good.
Natashya- Wow! Your beans in tomato sauce served over pasta shells looks like a party on a plate. I love it.
A proper November theme: beans = comfort food. I loved skipping through Tessa Kiros' books.
Lastly I decided on a very simple dish, the bean puree and was pleasantly surprised. Great recipe and great event :)
Can't go wrong with beans! I'm off to see what everyone else made :) I loved the green bean souffle we had, it was really tasty!
Thanks Kim! It was simple and tasty and made for great lunches.
