It's time for everyone's favorite theme....POTLUCK! Potluck week is everyone's favorite week for a reason. Anything goes! Plus, this time around we are introducing a new feature to provide even more freedom and variety.
Each month during POTLUCK week, you can chose to share an Ottolenghi recipe OR a recipe from any former IHCC Chef!
You now have eight chefs to chose from. You can actually chose from thousands of recipes and nearly every type of cuisine imaginable. What are you craving this week? British? American? Italian? Mediterranean? Mexican? Indian? Asian or maybe something from the Middle East? I'm pretty sure we've got you covered.
If you're not familiar with the former IHCC chefs, here is the list:
Nigella Lawson
Mark Bittman
Giada Delaurentiis
Jamie Oliver
Tessa Kiros
Rick Bayless
Madhur Jaffrey
and of course our newest addition: Yotam Ottolenghi!
So get out those cookbooks, or hunt for recipes online, but remember you now have eight fantastic chefs to chose from! Please post and link your POTLUCK dish by Sunday, April 28th. Please remember to link a thumbnail image and leave a comment after so that we don't miss out on your dish.
New to IHCC? Need help linking up? Please see our Welcome page. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below and we will get back with you.
If you missed out on our Get Back to Your Roots! theme, then please head over now to check out all the wonderful dishes that everyone shared.
Love the collage Kim! ;-) So excited about our new feature and all the options it gives. It will be nice to revisit some favorite chefs!
ReplyDeleteDitto, what Deb said. This is going to be exciting :-)
ReplyDeleteI am really liking this option to switch things up a bit ... will be doing a dish from Giada this week!
ReplyDeletePS ... May I use the collage image for posting on my blog?
ReplyDeleteI linked up a Yotem recipe, but like the option to choose previous chefs for potluck. next month maybe I'll do one of the previous chefs before I started participating.
ReplyDeleteSusan - Yes, you can definitely use the collage image for your site :)
ReplyDeleteI tried a long-awaited recipe, Giada's Italian Wedding Soup. I've been wanting to make it for a LONG time. The bummer is that we didn't care for it very much. Back to the drawing board.
ReplyDeleteIt's Shakshuka for me! I kept changing my mind between Nigella, Tessa and Mahdur!
ReplyDeleteThe bell peppers won me over!
Went with the yummy Shakshuka too! Although I may visit either my buddies Bittman or Jamie Oliver for a soup too this week. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGiada's Potatoes did the trick for us this week! Thanks Kim, for letting me copy the image!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't go past Ottolenghi, and I've made Burnt Aubergine & Mograbieh Soup - insanely good. I've also made my Shakshuka, which I hope to get posted tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying everyone's posts this week. It's fun to see what everyone has chosen.
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to post two recipes this week, but didn't care much for the first recipe I tried. We did, however, love Nigella's Lemon Meringue Fool. It was a great recipe and it helped me to clean out a few lingering items.
Susan - You are more than welcome. Feel free to use any of the images we share here.
Hello all! It's been awhile since I posted but...count me in, even last minute!
ReplyDeleteAdding another dish--an adaptation of Mark Bittman's Corn-and-Coconut Milk Soup. I've missed Bittman! ;-)
