**Don't Forget To Scroll To The Bottom Of This Post and Leave Comments about a possible New Chef for April! We want to hear your ideas!
It's that time of year where we foodies need to do a little SPRING CLEANING! That fridge and freezer and pantry needs an overhaul. We've got to find the bits and bobs that need cleaning out and use them up before spring gets here! Maybe you have some meat in the freezer, or some veggies in that crisper drawer, maybe your pantry is full of pasta, or you have cheese exploding out of your cheese drawer. Let's get it al together and make a good kitchen sink dish!
And while we're cleaning house...let's get together and come up with some ideas for a new IHCC chef, starting in April! Maybe we want another ALL CHEFS edition? Or maybe there is a chef we want to cook alongside with? I'm a personal fan of Jess at the blog How Sweet Eats (click the link there to be directed to her site) and she has two cookbooks, but I would love to hear other suggestions! PLEASE LEAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS DOWN BELOW!
New themes for March are up on the sidebar, to the right!
And now back to the dish of the week, use any ingredient in your fridge, freezer, or pantry that helps you do a little SPRING CLEANING. Make and post your dish, using the link below by Sunday, March 13th.
Please be mindful to cook with one of our chefs, listed in the heading above!
Hey, going out on a limb here, but isn't HBO and Food Network featuring new shows focused on Julia Child what fun that would be to feature her here at the cooking club.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed so many recipes from Alison Roman she does have cookbooks and YouTube videos available to peruse.
ReplyDeleteI linked with a Donna Hay recipe. As for the next chef I looked at How Sweet Eats and Alison Roman as suggested by Kim and mshew above, liked both sites.
ReplyDeleteI was going to also suggest Claudia Roden or Gordon Ramsay as they had previously been considered in polls here.
Honestly, I don't know how Kim and Deb keep this thing going as I would be lousy with a dedicated time table to post and host! We appreciate you very much :-)
Oops - I forgot to say the suggestions for All Chefs is great as well.
ReplyDeleteI tip my hat to Chef José Andrés for his fantastic restaurant food, his impact around the world founding World Central Kitchen and the relief efforts he spearheads serving fresh meals whereever they are needed.
ReplyDeleteI love all the suggestions, thanks! We should definitely give credit to Jose Andres for all of his relief efforts.
ReplyDeleteBringing another HBH dish that didn't pan out too well!
There are indeed many shows featuring Julia Child. She is already one of our chefs so we can cook with her each week, if we like.
ReplyDeleteAllison Roman is another favorite of mine. I watch all her youtube cooking videos and have made a few.
Claudia Roden and Gordon Ramsey are also possibilities!
Love all the suggestions! Trying to figure out how I can create a vote so we can all vote unanimously.
