And now for a really fun announcement....the new IHCC chef starting September 30, 2024 through March 30th is Erin French of The Lost Kitchen! Erin French is an American chef from Freedom, Maine who has become quite popular recently with her show on the Magnolia Network, The Lost Kitchen. Erin's The Lost Kitchen restaurant is a 40-seat restaurant in Freedom, Maine. Erin uses ALL LOCAL products from neighboring communities and highlights farmers, fishermen, artisans, and all kinds of local folks on her show. Erin and her crew make the most amazing dishes and people line up for them! Erin also has a new show, Getting Lost, where she and her husband travel the country meeting other cooks, and chefs, and enjoy local specialties of that area. I highly encourage you to watch both shows...I bet you'll be as hooked as I am.
Erin French has written one memoir titled Finding Freedom: A Cook's Story; Remaking a Life From Scratch. She also has two cookbooks: The Lost Kitchen: Recipes and a Good Life Found in Freedom, Maine: A Cookbook and her second cookbook, Big Heart Little Stove: Bringing Home Meals & Moments from The Lost Kitchen. I highly recommend all the books. I really enjoyed the memoir and I love both cookbooks, but if I had to chose only one, it would be Big Heart Little Stove: Bringing Home Meals & Moments from The Lost Kitchen. The second cookbook is just more approachable for a home cook and if you've seen the show, there are lots of recipes in the book from the show.
Erin's books are available on Amazon and here is a link to her website, The Lost Kitchen!
Look for the IHCC site to change and update as we switch over to a new chef!
Ina's Sticky Buns were in fact easy and fun to make with some leftover puff pastry dough.
