We want to send out a warm thanks to all who participated in our very first week here at I Heart Cooking Clubs! We had some fabulous Party Treats cooked up by our members and some people even got their very first taste of Nigella!
This week's challenge is Family Favourites. Old family traditions, current family requests, future possibilities of family food addictions...hey, you could even blog about the favourite treat of your childhood best friend's family...as long as you use a Nigella Lawson recipe to do it! So, peruse those books or check out the website (see sidebar) and let's see what we can cook up this week!
Post on your blog and Link your completed post to Mr. Linky below, on or by September 27th.
Link your I Heart Cooking Clubs post of the week's permalink with Mr. Linky, below, so we can all see your fabulous cooking club creation! Please leave a comment after, each week that you use Mr. Linky to link your post, just to be sure we don't miss anyone.
Don't know what a permalink is? Please refer to the Welcome page.
Can eating be considered a family favorite?
ReplyDeleteJust kidding......
I am really looking forwrad to this and have my meal all planned!
ReplyDeleteI love this pic of Nigella - she's gorgeous! I cooked two things for this week, just waiting to post.
ReplyDeleteI just linked my post, but I'm not sure if it's right or not. I used the permalink, not the site address. Am I suppose to type in what I made on the line by my name? I'm so computer challenged :/
ReplyDeleteHey Kim ... I did the same thing! I figured out I should have entered the name of my recipe after my name!
ReplyDeleteGreat that you are so quick! I will go over right now to look.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't specify to list the dish on the link, but some people started doing that and it seemed like a great idea. Do you think I should add that to the instructions?
N.
Hey Natashya- I guess it wouldn't hurt to put it in the instructions. There might be some people who are also computer challenged, like me:D
ReplyDeleteMine won't post until the 26th...I made two dishes, have it all typed out...but am uploading photos. I'm slow :D
ReplyDeleteMy pasta dish Capellini Con Caci E Pepe is posted and linked. Easy and delicious--a new favorite for sure.
ReplyDeleteKim - I have learned everything here by trial and error too. No worries! I added it to the instructions as an option.
ReplyDeletePierce - woohoo! Looking forward to it.
Deb - save some for me.. :)
My Banana Breakfast Ring is up - and yes, I do have leftovers. I'll put the kettle on!
OMG...I just linked as Heather. I NEVER do that!!! Huh...lost myself for a minute. Anyhoooooo...my banana muffins are up :D
ReplyDeleteAlrighty ladies....I just posted my Nigella family fav and hope I did the permalink correctly!
ReplyDeleteYes! Perfect execution, LOL!! :P
ReplyDelete"Today I am posting edition # 6 of blog's "Theme Days" / "meme's" / "carnivals". Yes, list # 6. {And your's was included :-} Just letting you know.) "
ReplyDeleteThe above paragraph is the first paragraph in an email I sent out today, to all of the owners of blogs whom host "theme days", that I could find email addresses for. But I could not find an email address on your blog.
The rest of the email is what I posted today on our blog. Go to: www.xanga.com/thehousethatlovebuilt to read it for yourself.
Hopefully, it will then clarify of all of this for you ;-}

Well....I lent my Nigella Express, which I call the Pink Bible, to a coworker. She's always been great about returning books so I'm not worried. Just having a little separation anxiety!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to next week's theme - Baking!
Finally got mine up. This was a fun one!
ReplyDeleteChicken Pot Pie anyone?
ReplyDeleteMmm, these are some delicious dishes!
ReplyDeletePierce - how brave of you to lend a Nigella cookbook! (Did you put a tracking device on it..?) ;-)
This feels exciting to be involved in a new venture.
ReplyDeleteMany other lists have the recipe title listed and it does help. We are limited in time and as much as we want to get to everyone, join a few groups and you can easily have over one hundred stops to make and then you have as many recipes you want to make. Life can be so tough...yeah sure.
