Welcome Claudia Roden!

This week we are saying Welcome Claudia Roden at I Heart Cooking Clubs! Claudia has a host of cookbooks ranging in cuisines: The New Book of Middle Eastern Food; Claudia Roden's Mediterranean; The Book of Jewish Food; The Food of Spain; Arabesque: A Taste of Morocco, Turkey, and Lebanon.

This week, feel free to chose any Claudia Roden recipe, or any recipe from any other IHCC chef, that says Welcome Claudia Roden! Make and post your March Potluck recipe by Sunday, April 2nd. Please link a picture of your recipe below, and leave a comment after.

June Cooking Club Themes

May 31st - June 6th: Classic Summer Dishes!

Kick off the summer season by making any classic summer dish from any of our IHCC chefs!

June 7th - June 13th: I Thee Wed!

In honor of wedding season, combine two recipes or two different chefs recipes into one dish *OR* pick two ingredients that marry well together and make a dish from any of our IHCC chefs!

June 14th - June 20th: Put It In A Bowl!

Food in a bowl is all the rage nowadays. Make a grain bowl, salad bowl, broth bowl, or dessert bowl. As long as it's in a bowl and contains a recipe from one of our IHCC chefs you're good to go!

June 21st - June 27th: Summer Sammies!

Burgers, Hot dogs, Cold Sammies, Dessert Sammies. The sky is the limit, as long it you get the recipe from one of our IHCC chefs!

June 28th - July 4th: June 2021 IHCC Potluck!
Make any dish from any our of IHCC chefs!

July 2021 Cooking Club Themes: All Chefs!

July 5th - July 11th: World's Fair Food!

Make any dish from any of our 21 featured chefs that is inspired by food served at the World's Fair!

July 12th - July 18th: Dress You Up!

Make any condiment, dressing, topping, or any recipe that dresses up your food!

July 19th - July 25th: Vacation Eats!

We're traveling right in our own kitchen! Make a recipe from any of our IHCC chefs that is something you love to enjoy on vacation OR a famous dish from somewhere you would like to vacation!

July 26th - August 1st: IHCC July Potluck!

Make any dish from any our of IHCC chefs!

You Choose the Recipes!

In the interest of freedom of choice and to maximize the fun, we have organized this cooking club on themes. How you interpret the theme is up to you. If you feel that you would like nothing better than a three-pound bison burger, with all the fixin's, on a spa day.. nobody will challenge you on it!

Once the theme is announced, feel free to peruse our current chef's recipes from cookbooks or online, to find one that you think suits the theme and your tastes. Have fun with the recipe, change what you like, and link into that week's post.
