Goodbye Tessa ...and Thank You!

Can you believe that our six months of cooking with Tessa Kiros has come to an end?  I don't know about you, but I completely and totally fell head over heels for Tessa's food, style, and cookbooks in this time.  I was able to whittle down the amount of sticky tabs, paper scraps, and other bookmarks I had poking from every single one of her books...but I still have plenty more recipes I still want need to try.
This is our week to say goodbye to Tessa and to offer up a huge thank you for giving us so many delicious meals in our kitchens and here at IHCC over the past six months.  So go ahead and remove one more bookmark from the bunch and join us in our final Tessa POTLUCK!

Though it probably won't be weekly anymore (since I just won't have the time), I know that Tessa and I will stay close and she'll be brightening up my kitchen for years to come!
Though goodbye's are always hard, it does mean that we're welcoming a new chef into our homes for the next six months - and it just so happens to be my personal all-time favorite chef - Rick Bayless!  We hope you'll stick around and join us in our endeavor to know and love his food.

Make and post your Goodbye Tessa ...and Thank You! post by Sunday, April 1st. Don't forget to link your post of the week's with Mr. Linky below, so we can all enjoy your fabulous creation! Remember to leave a comment after, each week that you use Mr. Linky to link your post, just to be sure we don't miss anyone.

Not sure what a permalink is? Check out our Welcome post.

If you missed the Getting a Little Nutty ...or Seedy! theme last week, be sure to head on over and see all of the delicious dishes everyone brought!  Don't forget, we're cooking through the recipes of Tessa Kiros right now...so if you've linked up, be sure that you've used/adapted one of her recipes for your post!

This seemed like the fastest six months ever! I am going to miss cooking along regularly with Tessa but I am looking forward to using my Bayless books. ;-)

Loved this post with all the new never before seen Tessa pics! I agree with Deb. This has been the fastest six months we've spent with a chef/cook. I so enjoyed Tessa's recipes (maybe my favorite so far).

Unbelievable - six months already!
It certainly was fast, and I am so grateful to have discovered this cookbook author who was otherwise fairly unknown to me.
She'll definitely remain a part of our regular rotations!

I can't believe that six months has passed so quickly! I had a ton of fun trying Tessa's recipes and know I will be trying many more.

So excited about Rick Bayless! I just ordered a tortilla press, yay :) plus I know I will get to put my margarita glasses to good use!

Hi, I've just linked up...oops.. there's an error in the name of the dish! Sorry, I guess I pressed "enter" in a jiffy! Could someone perhaps correct it for me? Thanks!
Wow, six months have passes by in a flash, I have so many of Tessa's recipes bookmarked but never got round to try them. Thank you for bringing Tessa to my kitchen, I only came to know of her six months ago! And she is definitely coming back to my kitchen! Have a lovely day, everyone!

I will really miss cooking with Tessa--she's been my favorite so far! This week I made "small shoes" (stuffed eggplant) for The Boy. Also included a round-up of our favorites. It was hard to pick favorites.

Hi, Just wanted to suggest whether is it possible to extend the weekly link to two weeks instead of one? It's just that sometimes it is a bit of a rush and before we know it, the link for the week is over! Thank you!

I ran out of time to make a new recipe(we're going out of town), but I did recap all my Tessa favorites (so hard to narrow it down). I really enjoyed cooking with Tessa these past six months. So happy to cook, and bake, along with y'all!

I've enjoyed learning about Tessa and her recipes. But I am really looking forward to the next featured chef. How do I sign up? I would LOVE to join the fun. :)

@kitchen flavours - we usually leave the linky open for a couple of extra days when the week is over, since we announce a new theme weekly. If by chance you were not able to link up before it closed, you can always leave your link in the comments for that week and we can add it in. OR you are always welcome to leave your link in the current/open linky!! We'll get in in there somehow =)

I am looking forward to Rick. I have never cooked anything by him. Once the Jewish holidays are over, I should be able to cook with you.

Just posted a very simple (and good!) Portuguese-style Vegetable Soup and my "Top 3" Tessa recipe recap ;-)

Time does fly. I had never heard of Tessa before and I'm so glad IHCC's introduced me to her and her books. I've enjoyed all of her recipes and it's been a lot of fun. I look forward to Rick too! Love him.

Natashya - I definitely love a good meatball. I'd like to snag one of those pitas right off my screen. What a gorgeous meal! A good way to go out with Tessa.

Kim - thanks so much! We loved them, and had enough for the whole weekend.

@Leslie...sorry it took so long to respond, your comment was stuck in the "filter". Simply cook along and link up during any given week and consider yourself signed up, chica!! =)
