Corn, beans and squash are known as The Three Sisters and have been thriving and growing together since the 1300's! The corn is planted in the middle and acts as support for the beans, beans add nitrogen to the soil and further structure, and the squash leaves cool the soil and hinder weeds. They just go hand-in-hand!
